We have been drinking Tasmanian Mountain Waters 10 litre casks since moving back to Queensland, two months now. We are at the point where we will be taking the rest of our water back now. The water in approximately 50% of the casks we have bought has tasted horrible. It's hard to describe for myself, a sulphur like taste; for my wife she claims it has a semen like taste. We have emptied two casks considering it undrinkable. I have looked into the company's filtration and sterilising claims on its website, ozone sterilisation is used. I'm not sure if the sterilisation process leaves the foul taste. It is interesting that sometimes when I have filled my water bottle up I have noticed a hissing sound when the lid was loosely on, just an observation.
We have always checked the packed on and best before dates on the packaging, all casks have been in date so this issue is not related to out-of-date water.
